The news media and trade are fast becoming aware of Tranquility
Day Spa and Salon's growing business, particularly with respect to our
eye towards style, professionalism, and focus on quality and service. Salon
Today, a highly respected monthly publication on Finer Salons in the United
States, and the Washington Post, Washingtonian Magazine, Potomac News,
Manassas Journal Messenger and Modern Salon have all featured Tranquility
Day Spa in various articles.
In the January 2004 edition of Salon
Today, Tranquility Day Spa and Salon was featured along
with 199 other up-and-coming salons for their success in inspiring
their
staffs, captivating their clients, and growing in their business.
Tranquility was among the top 200 salons which were cited for
their
"Outstanding customer experiences, creative cost-cutting strategies,
memory-making marketing campaigns and reward programs that move
employees to action . . .", all of which were elements to their
success! During the year Tranquility saw its revenues increase
12
percent. Asked by the editors what was the key to their success,
Gloria Harding stated, "Through reading the book Positively Outrageous
Service I was inspired to make that philosophy a part of everyday
activities. I chose areas that related to our business, created
certificates for each staff member, and held meetings where we
brainstormed
ideas. If ever a client challenge arises, it is taken care of quickly,
efficiently and in such an unusual way the client never forgets
how much we care about their happiness as our client. It is a sure-fire
way to get tongues wagging about you in a very positive way and
there is no better advertising than that."
