Haymarket, Va. -- Tranquility Day Spa’s staff recently teamed on the spa’s “One
Tip, One Child” campaign to raise money for Childhelp, the national nonprofit
dedicated to helping prevent and treat child abuse.
The “One Tip, One Child” campaign, designed by Tranquility Day Spa
with support from Childhelp and Eufora Beauty Products, involved spa staffers
donating tips and selling raffle tickets to clients. The one-day campaign, which
took place on September 28, welcomed customers with no appointments and
offered hourly prize giveaways in an effort to maximize support for Childhelp.
The Tranquility team raised $500 during the day and donated the money to a
local Childhelp chapter.
“The One Tip, One Child campaign is our special way of making a
contribution to a very important organization,” said Tranquility Day Spa Co-owner
Gloria Harding. “We believe that Childhelp’s work is immeasurably beneficial to
the community, so it was easy to get the staff to support the effort.”
Childhelp is one of many locally involved charities that Tranquility Day Spa
supports. Founded in 1959, Childhelp is a leading national non-profit organization
dedicated to helping victims of child abuse and neglect. The organization’s
mission is to meet the physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of
abused, neglected and at-risk children. It focuses on advocacy, prevention,
treatment, and community outreach.
