Tranquility Design Academy Hosts Hair Styling Evening for Women Only...
Donating $5 from Each Haircut to Transitional Housing BARN, Inc. for Women

MANASSAS, Va., -- Mother's Day is just around the corner and Ladies' Night at Tranquility Design Academy on Thurs., May 8 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.  is a perfect opportunity for moms to get some extra pampering. Ladies' Night will feature free giveaways, a special gift bag for all attendees, free make-up applications, as well as, the latest trends on hair styles, fashion and make-up. A donation of $5 from each haircut will be donated to Transitional Housing BARN, Inc. for women in Bristow., Va. Cost is $35 per haircut, coloring is extra. Appointments are encouraged. Tranquility Design Academy is located at 10388 Festival Lane. Patrons are encouraged to bring a friend and receive great giveaways, like gift certificates which are given out every half hour as door prizes. The haircut will include a free professional photos donated by Terra Dawn of Terra Dawn Photography, as well as a cheese and wine buffet. "Tranquility Ladies' Night is about rejuvenation and extra pampering for busy women working inside and outside their home," said Gloria Harding, founder and owner of Tranquility Design Academy and Tranquility Day Spa and Salon. "Tranquility is also excited to be able to support disadvantaged women at BARN and help them transition to healthier lives," said Harding.

Transitional Housing BARN Inc. opened its doors to the homeless women and children of Prince William County, Va. in 1997. Nestled in the tranquil acreage of the St. Benedictine Monastery in Bristow, Va., BARN is a secular not-for-profit organization that provides housing, supportive services, life management skills and financial education for homeless women and their dependent children.

Tranquility Design Academy is noted for its creative 10-month teaching curriculum for future hair stylists by introducing students to a Fine Art Foundation Workshop that trains stylists to view clientele with the critical eye of an artist along with a creative edge. Not only does the academy focus on the basic foundations of cosmetology school, but more than 75 percent of its courses lead the trainees to harness their own positive energy, skills and talents to realize and maximize their full potential not only to be expert hair stylists, but as compassionate, caring human beings who have been taught to nurture their self-esteem and self-confidence.
