Tranquility Day Spa and Salon of Manassas has earned numerous awards
during its six years in business, but 2003 marks a new level of
success. The local spa and its owners, Gloria and Wayne Harding,
have been nominated for the prestigious Salon Entrepreneur of the
Year Award.
The Global Salon Business Awards will recognize
and honor the leading entrepreneurial salon owners from 20 countries.
A total of 40 salons will earn the award, two from each country
or region represented in the awards program. While most other salon
industry awards focus on the artistic and creative accomplishments
of salon professionals, the Global Salon Business Awards go a step
further by also honoring the business achievements of professional
salons around the world.

Day Spa and Salon has been nominated for such a prominent international

grown from a sole proprietorship in 1997, to designation as one
of the Washington region’s top salons in 2002, and now our

Now that Tranquility Day Spa and Salon has been
nominated for the entrepreneurial award by one of its vendors
and
by a representative of Salon Today magazine, the Harding's must
complete a rigorous application process. An independent international
panel
of judges will make the final award selections based on the criteria
of entrepreneurial spirit, marketing & promotion, financial
productivity, team philosophy and client philosophy. The awards
will be announced during a June 2004 awards ceremony in London.
