Tranquility Salon and Day Spa Hosts Community Connection Event with Author and Speaker John Mizerak
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — June 20, 2012
Haymarket, Va. – In its continued effort to give back to the community, Tranquility Salon and Day Spa hosts author John Mizerak at a Connecting Christ’s Community Over Coffee Event on July 9, 2012 from 10:00am to Noon. The event takes place at their salon located at 15125 Washington Street, Suite 304 Haymarket, Va., 20169.
The quarterly Connecting Christ’s Community Over Coffee event is open to community members in Haymarket and surrounding areas to connect with one another on issues of import.
At this event, John will discuss his healing process from Grief to Hope, using his recently published novel Black and White, his boots-on-the-ground involvement with the Every Orphan’s Hope Organization and the unexpected and sudden loss of his wife, Molly Mizerak, as his background narrative.
In addition to John Mizerak’s inspiring story, the morning’s event will include a healthy buffet of brunch options.
“We are pleased to have such an others-centered speaker like John Mizerak to motivate our Tranquility team and the community to pursue their life’s passion,” said spa co-founder Gloria Harding. “His involvement and sincere devotion to the local community and the world is truly a blessing and inspiration to everyone around him.”
The entire Coffee Connection idea was Molly Mizerak’s: Molly had a plan to bring women in the community together to make a difference in the world both locally and globally. The goal of the organization is to provide a spiritual support system in the community and assist women through life’s journey. After her passing in 2011 the Mizerak family has continued to fulfill her life’s ambition by dedicating themselves both to this organization and Every Orphan’s Hope.
“We are grateful for the Mizerak family’s devotion to make a positive impact on both the community and world,” said spa co-founder Gloria Harding. “The Mizerak family has made a lasting impression in my life, the Tranquility team and so many others. It is a privilege to host this event and have John here in person to continue to carry the torch for what mattered so much to Molly.”

Haymarket, Va. – Tranquility Day Spa & Salon continues to be recognized as one of the area’s premier day spas by Northern Virginia Magazine with their selection as “Best for Daily Life” Prince William County, in the magazine’s recent Best of 2012 June edition.
Voters from the entire Northern Virginia region cast their ballots for their favorite local must-visit spots covering local shopping, services, entertainment, dining and personalities.
Winners are chosen based upon votes from real-life clients and are hand-selected by customers who actually use their services. Tranquility Day Spa Campaign Raising Money To Fund Construction Of Second Home For Orphaned African Children
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — May 29, 2012
Haymarket, Va. – Tranquility Day Spa and Salon, continuing its pledge to support a local family’s dedication to a global charity, is raising money to build a house for Zambian children orphaned by AIDS.
The effort follows last year’s successful campaign that raised some $11,000 to build a home as part of the Every Orphan’s Hope (EOH) program. That home is named “Molly’s House,” honoring Molly Mizerak, a Loudoun County resident who passed away in 2011, soon after she and her family dedicated their lives to supporting EOH. The Mizerak family made a pledge to build 49 more homes in Molly’s name; this year’s fundraising will go toward the construction of Molly’s House #2, which will be built during a mission trip this July and August.
Donations for the build are being accepted at Tranquility Day Spa and Salon through the end of June. Donors giving $20 or more will be entered into a raffle to win a $500 Tranquility gift card and also receive a copy of “Black and White,” the story behind the building of Molly’s House written by John Mizerak, Molly’s husband. All of the donations and raffle proceeds will help fund Molly’s House #2.
The campaign will wrap up with the Black and White Open House on Saturday, June 30 from 12pm – 4pm. The Open House will feature a book signing with John Mizerak, delicious “black and white” treats, and the drawing for the gift card raffle winner.
“The Tranquility community is blessed and honored to work with the Mizerak family and Every Orphan’s Hope on this wonderful effort,” said spa Co-founder Gloria Harding. “Molly Mizerak was both a friend of the Tranquility community and a spiritual mentor of mine. We’re looking forward to helping fulfill one of her life’s goals by making a positive, lasting difference in the lives of some very special people in Zambia.”

Tranquility Day Spa Named ‘Great Day Spa’ By Northern Virginia Magazine
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — May 17, 2012
Haymarket, Va. – Tranquility Day Spa & Salon has been recognized as one of the area’s top day spas by Northern Virginia Magazine, earning a place in the publication’s recent “Great Day Spas” feature article.
The article, published in the May 2012 issue, notes many of the unique, customer-focused features that spa co-founders Gloria and Wayne Harding implemented in their recently renovated Haymarket location, such as the walk-in beauty bar, sound-proof sheeting that keeps the massage rooms peaceful, plus an assortment of gourmet food offered to all spa customers. The article also recognizes the spa’s greatest asset: its team.
“An extremely hospitable environment and staff makes Tranquility Day Spa & Salon feel more like a home than a business operation,” the magazine said. “The Haymarket facilities were constructed with customer convenience in mind.”
The recognition from Northern Virginia Magazine follows Tranquility Day Spa and Salon’s one-year anniversary in its new Haymarket location as well as the spa’s best-ever month, in March 2012.
“We’re so blessed to be featured in Northern Virginia Magazine’s great spas piece,” said Co-founder Gloria Harding. “We understand that there are many wonderful options for salon- and spa-goers in this area. Our recent success, including March’s record month, shows us that we’re achieving our primary goal of making our clients feel like they’re not just customers, but rather the foundation of the Tranquility community.”

Tranquility Day Spa And Salon Sponsors Massage Therapist For A Mission Trip To Change Hundreds Of Lives In Nicaragua
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — March 26, 2012
Haymarket, Va. – Tranquility Day Spa and Salon sponsored one of its employees, Massage Therapist Nicole Overton, to go on The Life Church’s mission trip to Nicaragua to help restore health and bring hope to hundreds of families in Puerto Cabezas.
Spa owners Gloria and Wayne Harding, like Nicole, are members of The Life Church, which hosts annual mission trips to Puerto Cabezas. After Hurricane Felix devastated this region of Nicaragua in 2007, the church created a long-term plan to bring direct care to the people. The mission involves building and servicing meal and medical centers and providing literacy training.
This year’s mission lasted from January 28th through February 4th. The trip’s goal included finishing the meal center and dedicating it to children. The building, made to accommodate 200 children at a time, welcomed 300 at the dedication and served them a first meal. This unique meal center collaborated with the medical center to provide medical records for these children. This ensured that the staff members could provide proper nutrition to meet standard and individual needs.
Upon hearing about the mission trip at her church, Nicole felt it was her duty to go. However, she could not fund the trip on her own. Knowing how passionate Nicole felt about going, Gloria and Wayne, decided that Tranquility Day Spa and Salon would sponsor her trip.
Nicole was sent with the medical team as its massage therapist. Her primary job throughout the week was to offer massage therapy to the extremely hard-working adults of Puerto Cabezas and the dedicated staff of the mission trip after strenuous days. She also handed out reading glasses to the townspeople, which is important to the tasks of daily life and to the new literacy training centers.
“The people’s reactions were something I’ve never seen; and then it dawned on me that they can see clearly now,” Nicole said. “I was helping them see. I was giving sight to the blind in a way and it was amazing.”
Nicole has opened up a savings account to begin saving for next year’s mission trip to Puerto Cabezas.
